Nissan Intelligent Mobility Is Redefining Automotive Technology

Nissan continues to pave the way for others when it comes to automotive technology, especially in terms of driver assistance features. Drivers in the Akron and North Canton, OH areas will appreciate Nissan's Rear Door Alert (RDA) system, which is the first of its kind to use the horn, in addition to door sensors and a message display on the center instrument panel, to remind drivers to check the back seat after the vehicle is parked. Another new safety innovation is Nissan Safety Shield 360. This is a suite of advanced driver-assist systems that Nissan will make standard on one million new vehicles sold annually in the U.S. by 2021. This suite of systems supports the Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision to redefine how cars are driven, powered and integrated into society. It includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is now available on select trims of the Nissan Altima, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Murano and Maxima.

An exciting new car is also in the offing for Nissan this spring, called the Nissan Leaf Plus. Drivers in the Cuyahoga Falls and Green, OH areas will like that the new Leaf Plus will have up to 226 miles of range with its 62-kWh battery. It will also have more muscle, with 214 horsepower under the hood. The Leaf Plus will have a full suite of available driver assistance features that help keep an eye out for you on the road, along with standard smartphone compatibility. People in the Barberton and Wadsworth areas will be glad to know that the Leaf Plus will get a new, larger 8.0-inch touchscreen. The more powerful battery will not compromise cargo space, since the battery in the new Leaf Plus will be more energy dense than that offered on the current Nissan Leaf. This thrilling new electric car will be coming to Ron Marhofer Nissan soon. For now, you can shop our massive inventory of new and used cars.
